Our Manufacturing Department is responsible for all of Ishida's products including the key "load cell" component. For us, it is a must to have a production system that can quickly respond to customer orders. We have allocated our resources carefully to establish a variety of production methods to best support our customers. The production method employed depends on the demands of each product order. Our methods include "just-in-time", "cell", "line", and "mixed". This way, Ishida can focus not only on quality control, but also on meeting delivery deadlines, the realization of cost savings, and product reliability.
Ishida has had Total Quality Control (TQC) and a suggestion system in place for more than twenty years. Quality improvement efforts are recognized by all staff members as a normal part of their work schedule and duties. They take an active, voluntary part in the suggestion system, producing more than 1,000 improvement suggestions each year, all of which are included in feedback to the related departments.
Seen from another angle, the strength of Ishida's Quality Control Department can be summed up in the slogan "Never accept, make, or ship any nonconforming products". To realize this goal, an extremely strict checking system is applied to all materials and any products Ishida buys from outside, including equipment, units, and parts, to confirm that they meet Ishida's in-house standards. Throughout the whole production process, Ishida's in-house standards are applied and these standards exceed the ordinary inter-national standards, such as those issued by the International Organization of Legal Metrology (OIML), and the ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards. Furthermore, in consideration of customer site operating conditions and to meet Ishida's own strict safety standards, products are re-checked before shipment.
