This fiscal year marks Ishida's 115 year as a developer, manufacturer and vendor of weighers, inspection machines, packaging machines and system devices. We are a trusted supplier of the products that have helped drive Japan's industrial growth for over a century.
With environmental preservation, one of the most important issues facing our planet today, Ishida has responded to the public's environmental concerns by developing a waste measurement and management system and other environment-conscious products. Reducing the environmental impact of our business activities has been another priority, and in April 2004, we received ISO 14001 certification for our Shiga Integrated Facility, a major Ishida development and manufacturing site.
We plan to develop more environment-conscious products in the years ahead. Driven by our corporate action philosophy of 'Three-way harmony', we will contribute to local communities, and fulfill the obligations of corporate social responsibility (CSR). To continue our vital role in the 21st century, we are making the environment a major focus of our management activities, and want to help create the sustainability crucial for the future of human beings.
